Love this bit of news I received today from the Canadian Children’s Book Centre: The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts will present The Art of the Picture Book from September 11 to October 14, 2012. Eighty illustrators will be represented, including Ruth Ohi, Werner Zimmermann, Barbara Reid and Michael Martchenko.
Two days after the exhibit closes, an auction of the original art will take place as a fundraiser for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre.
What an amazing opportunity to own a piece of work from childhood heroes (or your children’s childhood heroes).
